I don’t have a dog –
I feel better, sleep better after 2 days of use!
I am amazed at how much better I slept last night after just using this lamp for approx 45 minutes around 5am during the preceding morning. I am trying to adjust my circadian rhythm since I can fall asleep easily but wake up around 2-3am every night. I take a microdose of melatonin 300mcg around 7pm which helps me sleep without side effects such as headaches. My routine is staying bed from 9pm-5am.. sometimes I get up a little earlier because I hate laying in bed awake. I turn on this light as stated with my morning coffee … then I like to go outside when the sun comes up and walk for 30 minutes. I have noticed more energy, less day time fatigue and a brighter attitude. In addition, the light is just the right size for my table in the morning and will be perfect for my camper van. I love the brightness – I rarely look right at the light preferring to have it at an angle to my face. The settings are easy to understand — this is worth the price which is reasonable IMO.

Nice table top size
This light arrived on time and well packaged. I’m just trying it out and so far impressed. It’s very easy to use, just plug-in, turn-on, select light setting and press timer option from 10-60 min. My measured size of the unit out of box is: 6 3/8 W x 8 5/8 H & depth with built-in stand about 2 3/4″ D. Happy with purchase.

It works, but finally dies
I bought this light probably a year or more ago. It works great, especially for seasonal changes. I used it a LOT. Probably more than you’re supposed to, and it finally died this morning. I pressed on, it flickers, and turns off. But, since it lasted so long with so much use, I actually ordered the same light again today. It is definitely worth the price.

It adds life to dreary winters
I puchased this back in the rainy winter and have been using for 90 days. Seriously thought I was going crazy due to the low funk I was in while being snowed in and I don’t want to start antidepressants. I turn on the sunlight replicating setting at the same time I log into work (on overcast or rainy days) so I can get a full 8 hours. So far, I feel it works ! I put on some peppy music and after about 20 minutes, I feel my brain thinking about more hopeful things, even smiling at times. I don’t want to use this as a crutch but I’m 53 and know what happens during the sucky, cold, wet, dark winters here…the movie the Shining is my worst fear. But now that the sun is shining more here, I use the yellow and orange lighting to increase productivity and the bkue/green light when I meditate or do yoga. I used the red light hoping it would increase collagen and skin tone but I’m not sure this lamp is powerful enough to penetrate skin layers. The timer is helpful because when the 1 hour setting goes off, I know I can stop my yoga session!

Bright, but not sure about the full spectrum claim
It’s very bright. It claims to be full spectrum, but it seems more like a very bright led light. I compared it to object viewed outside in sunlight and, well, it’s not the same. So, I don’t know about the full spectrum claim. I was hoping it would mimic outdoor light. Disappointed.

Very effective, although I decided I need a larger one to enable some distance between me and the sewing machine, which I sit at for hours every day.

I work at a university and took the lamp over to the physics lab. My colleague used a diffraction grating device to scan the wavelengths being emitted and he showed that (1) there is indeed no UV light being emitted and (2) it does produce the full sunlight spectrum, although with a bit of a dip in the blue region, which is typical for a LED light-source. Interestingly, when we tried the dimmer settings, there was a noticeable shift towards the red end of the spectrum, which is considered “warmer” light. I also used a lux-meter and found that 12 inches away the lamp emits triple of the recommended 10K lux needed for therapeutical-benefits, but at 24 inches away it is useless therapeutically at under 400 lux. The intensity drops to the required 10K lux at about 18 inches away from the lamp.
