The Sherpa Fur Fabric has a fluffy texture with nice wooly touch to it. It got it’s name from the people of the Himalaya, this material is worn by the Tibetons of both men and women. It’s a synthetic fabric with a thick pile that is made to look like sheep’s wool and is incredibly warm with a wooly feel. Sherpa is used to line all-weather clothing at a fraction of the cost of the real thing. Often used for linings of winter clothings is perfect for bathrobes, baby blankets, throws or even a unique costumes.

Perfect for my sewing project
This was perfect for a little lamb doll that I sewed. It looks just like wool.

Disapointed No More
I have purchased this product from several sites and have never been satisfied. I thought I would try once more before I gave up and went to town.A wonderful surprise was delivered a few days later. The sherpa was a natural color, was thick and dense and held up through washing. I needed more for another project and went to Fabric Empire again. They have my business!

I purchased this fabric twice. July 2017- i love this material. Amazingly soft and workable. The only issue is both ends of the fabric have to be cut to remove salvage. So the workable fabric is not as plentiful after the trim.The second purchase was a few weeks ago. I am Disappointed in this order because it seems to be a different fabric than the one I ordered In July 2017. The fabric is still amazingly soft but once it’s cut, it sheds tremendously from the cut side. I also Have to cut this fabric a little bigger than the fabric to which I am attaching it because the frayed seem makes it difficult to sew when cut at the same size. I still Like this fabric but am disappointed it’s not the same as I ordered Before. I am Going to have to look elsewhere, unfortunately, because this new fabric is more difficult to work with. Would love to be able to purchase the fabric Ordered in July 2017.

DIdn’t use it for what I had intended, but the cat LOVES this stuff. If you have cat bed you’d like to revitalize, this is the stuff.
