Anyone concerned with innocent prying eyes? You NEED this!
Ok let me start by saying I was blown away when I 1st received this thing as I was not expecting it to be at all what I got. So I will tell you in full detail what you should expect to receive if you decide to purchase this because even though other people may have mentioned these things, I (myself anyway) failed to fully grasp their meaning. So this was happily larger than I anticipated being what I would consider to be a regular sized “journal” (smaller than a school-sized notebook but larger than one of those mini legal pads). I’m sure they give dimensions somewhere within the description here but if you’re like me it’s just like, eh, whatever, it looks cute and my journal/notebook obsession I mean collection is telling me I need this, it looks big enough to write in, so, yeah. And in the cart it goes. There are a substantial amount of pages that make up this journal too which is great! And even better (in my opinion) that those pages are not wide-ruled. Although I’m not certain they’re college ruled either (which is what I prefer). Ots almost like they’re a mix somewhere in between(?) OK ok, I’ll measure that stuff out later once a get the chance and update it here for you. Because the lines mightve only been deemed “acceptable” once I decided to use it for keeping passwords and such things that like, if I die, people need to know ect yet while I’m still alive? no. BUT regardless of what kind of pages they come with, they can be whatever kind of pages you want! Because this case is reusable. Meaning, the notebook and the case are 2 separate items! As long as you can find a notebook/journal/sketchbook to fit (which really shouldn’t be hard) you can use it with this case to lock it up! While that in turn (presuming that you filled it up) would essentially put the contents of your original notebook in jeopardy (presuming that you dont have some other sort of larger safe/lockbox). This case is not just some flimsy piece either. It’s literal dense fabric like some sort of upholstery fabric and with lining. It’s cushiony but dense too. What unexpectedly makes this thing even better is the attached pen/pencil holder (it does not come with said pen nor pencil, but still, it comes at all!) It’s always nice not to have to search for a writing utensil 🙂 the only downside of it (well, actually there’s 2) 1. The material that makes up the pen holder, as well as the wrap around portion of the lock, is kinda like that cheapy fake leather stuff that most likely would fail the test of time. But like, how much time? Idk. I’m sure that would also depend on how much abuse it endures on a daily basis. Also, just like with any sort of lockbox or small Safe there is always the chance someone just takes it and breaks into it which would definitely be way easy with this thing. Meaning, it’s not really safe in all due respect but it is safe in the sense that if you’re not worried about whoever you’re trying to keep things from destroying it just to see what you’ve written… I mean, you’ll know if someone has messed with it or it will just be missing… you know? Meaning, let’s say you’re 8 years old and this is your diary. Your sister wants to sneak a peek without you knowing. She can’t. You’ll either know because it’s gone because your sister destroyed it but cutting the “leather” part that wraps the lock around and left it for you to find like that or it’s just gone because your sister did the above but did not leave it for you to find so that she can proclaim innocence when it’s brought up at the table. But that seems common sense to me. 2. The combination lock-I actually had to return the 1st one that I got because the 1st turny part was locked in place so I couldn’t even set the lock at all. I didn’t find this out until I was already into it either but I was provided a replacement one that works. My only hope is that it doesn’t do that thing these combination locks sometimes do randomly and just lock up for no good reason. But on that note it’s not like in some cases where you’re just locked out of your stuff, cause like I mentioned, if you really NEEDED to get in it, you could, and then you’d have a really cute book/journal cover +/- a hightlighter/pen/pencil holder :pDefinitely a must have for any kid who wishes for any sort of place to keep their own private thoughts that they may reflect upon later in life if they find they might want to. And even if they don’t.I despise any form of thought police, but still, they’re out there…

IT’S THE CATS MEOW!
So it’s a cover for journal inserts, which is fabulous! You can buy the inserts for less than a standard journal because it’s just the guts, so to speak, and the outside is reusable journal cover, but you wouldn’t know from looking at it. It comes with a thick journal insert already in it, which is nice. I purchased two random journal inserts based on the dimensions provided, and both work nicely, so you shouldn’t have any issue finding inserts that work. As for the inserts, if you aren’t familiar, they are the pages bound together that come out of this cat journal. And speaking of the cover, it is very nice, made of a thick cotton or linen or cotton-like or linen-like material, it looks like a nicer journal and it has a combo lock where YOU can set your own combo. I’m VERY pleased with this purchase and would DEFINITELY recommend it.

Gift for 14 yr old niece
Purchased this for my niece’s 14 birthday. She loved it and it was good quality. Overall a happy birthday!

Adorable not durable
The outside is very cute. The diary within is very cheap including the binding. It seems like it will fall apart.

Good
Better than expected, but the pages are starting to fall out after being used for about 2 months.

Worth the price!
Soooo cute & I hate cats! This journal is adorable. Cover feels like a linen fabric & quite durable. You can refill by replacing it with a new journal as it can be removed. Had a pen tab to hold a pen or pencil. No interior pockets. Lock seems durable as well. I love it!

No instructions BUT…I LOVE IT!!
Looks just like the photos. Very good quality cover. Pretty inner pages. No instructions to set lock code so I had to write the seller. But that’s no biggie. I have to pull pretty hard to open it when the lock is set to the original code, which is fine with me. I really like this journal so much that I have to try really hard not to order a second for when this one is full. The design is super cute but I think it best the next one look different so I’m not mixing them up.

Attractive decorative pages, nice binding.Figured out how to set the combo: press & hold lever to the right, set desired combination code, then push lever to the left. Scramble dial. All set! 👌🏻

The book itself is cute. It smelled very musty when the package was removed and there are no instructions for the lock, which sort of renders it useless for $30. Disappointed.
