Finally found “The One”
As a teacher and now currently a homeschool mom, this series is my new favorite for handwriting. The pages are set up nicely. They aren’t crowded with pictures and the visual instructions for each letter is nicely done.

very pleased
I am a homeschooling Mom and have been homeschooling for two years now. Have been trying different curriculum during this time to see what works so I can find something to stick with. For Handwriting, this is going to be what sticks for us after having tried two or three other major handwriting curriculum. For me this both works and is appealing for kids. Some have complained that there is no verse writing in K but I don’t see that as a problem. The K program is just preparing the child for the next six levels which will all feature scripture verses. The only complaint I have found is that the K workbook is not very long and may not cover a full school year. You may need to buy some handwriting paper for extra practice and to review what is learned. Also, it is very important to purchase the teachers manual with this. The manual covers all levels, so you only need to buy this once. It provides special teacher instruction as well as sections to read aloud to your student about the animal that they will color that corresponds with the letter. My daughter really enjoyed listening to these readings while she colored her animal.

Great curriculum!
This handwriting curriculum gives the child practice but in a fun way. It isn’t too much but just enough to teach them. Highly recommended.

Thin paper. Ghosting images.
I think overall I will enjoy using this product. I used to teach preschool handwriting, and I like this style above precursive manuscript handwriting. My only problem that I foresee with this product is that the pages are much thinner than what I would expect for this price. There is ghosting on every page. You can see the images through the paper that’s printed on the other side. The most annoying part of it is that these images are up side down from the page you are looking at. Once my child begins using the product, I’m sure that their pencil marks will also ghost through to the other side. By the time they are ready to color the picture on the other side, it will look very busy. I have included a couple of pictures as examples, while not infringing on copy writes of the page as a whole. I do agree with this teaching method for manuscript. If you are okay with the thin pages, it’s a great curriculum.

A categorized approach that makes sense
This is my second time purchasing this, because it worked so well with my first kid!Begins with letters that start with a “c” and “o” shape, and builds from there. Sets a vocabulary at the beginning for referencing lines and spaces so you can verbally reference a line or a space when making corrections. We love it!

Book came in brand new condition and was required for my daughter’s kindergarten class. Was exactly as described and cheaper than other places.

Damaged
The content is fine as I’ve used it with my other kids, but it arrived smashed and curled up. It’s difficult to open and lay flat now.

This is the second time I’ve used this book to teach handwritting. I recommend it often to others. It is simple, straight-forward and just the right amount of writting for a kindergardener. I’ve tried teaching handwriting out of the many discount store books, but I’ve gone back everytime to this series. It provides clear directions and has a thorough progression to writting the letters without being boring. I also own the teachers manual with this series. I especially liked to use the teachers manual with the K level because it tells something about the animals the student has one his page for the day. Great series!
