Shake these outside holding them upside down. Shake gently! They look very nice in my large floor vase.

BEAUTIFUL (and very messy) but WORTH IT
I’m very new to pompas grass, I literally just got my first 2 sets today. I definitely recommend going outside to shake them, I was expecting some fall out but NOTHING like it actually does, it’s A LOT lol But once you fluff them up they’re GORGEOUS! My vases haven’t came in yet so I only took pics of them in my hand and laid out on my coffee table, but once my vase gets here I’ll add more pics. Ok other than taking them outside to fluff and shake, I also recommend taking a blow dryer (outside) and set it on low heat and low power and just blow dry these for about 3-5mins, it fluffs them up sooo much better than just shaking them. I didn’t take any pics of what they looked like when I first opened them, wish I had though to show y’all the difference in what using the blow dryer will do, it’s like magic haha They’re thick and lush, fluffy is the best descriptive word. I love that they come with 2 different colors and variations, the brown ones fluff up better than the white, but the white looks really good mixed in with the brown. The white ones were falling apart while I was shaking them, so be more careful with those. Oh and when using the blow dryer, do the exact opposite of how you’d dry your hair, with hair you wanna aim the dryer down to close the cuticle, unless you’ve got curly hair and using a diffuser, yeah do THAT! Aim the blow dryer down from the top of the pompas, it fluffs them out so much bigger. Mine are way fluffier than shown in the pics, in a good way. If this is your style I definitely recommend, just make sure to shake and fluff outside, I cannot stress that enough lol**EDIT**My vase came in today so I’m posting pics of what they look like in a BIG 9 inch ceramic vase

I’ll first start off by saying the packing was great and the product is made with wonderful quality materials. I did notice I smell coming from them and they do shed easily when touched .

edit: after a few days or weeks (i didnt keep track) – they floofed up on their own! I LOVE EM.I have no experience with pampas grass – I’ve never seen or smelled any in person… However I’ve seen them in people’s home decor videos and always wanted some. I pulled these out of the package and notice a sweet earthy smell which is really pleasant, to add some nature to the city apartment.The tan and white colors are as pictured, I happen to be partial to white. They do not come as fluffy as they are in the picture, but apparently that’s completely normal, shippers have to pack it tighter for shipping. At first I was going to use my fingers to try to fluff it up but I thought that would shed like crazy. Tso i found a YouTube video (no affiliation on my part) called “How to prepare your Pampas Grass | Re-fluff Pampas Grass | How fluff up Pampas Grass” – she says most people when they get pampas grass delivered don’t know how to fluff it up – and I’m like that’s me! I recommend watching the video, she advises shaking it gently (and yes it will shed a little), and then using a hair dryer on medium to high heat, she says in real life pompas likes the heat from the sun to expand (so the hair dryer is mimicking the heat basically).Now I have to find my hair dryer – so I didn’t try the video’s recommendations yet, but I’m posting this review now in case anyone else reads this thinking hey it’s not as pictured! Apparently all pompas grass comes in the mail not fluffy, and you will have to fluff it yourself. Although I will say even though I didn’t fluff it yet, it still looks pretty. I really love the earthy scent because my apartment is feeling too techy right now and I want to get back in touch with my natural side. they do look decadent, and I’m very happy to have them. I fit all of them in a 32 oz mason jar no problem.If I forget a hold of my hair dryer I will update this review.

Beautiful but messy
I honestly thought these were artificial before ordering but I was mistaken. This is real dried pampas grass which means there’s is significant shedding subsequent mess these make. I shook them out outside to loosen the excess but they still shed so I was not able to use them. I wasn’t able to take a picture in the tree but I will say these were absolutely beautiful, fluffy and great color if you can manage the mess. These were ordered for the top of my Christmas tree and would have filled in the space beautifully at the top but I was not able to use them as intended. They are great for outdoor porch or patio display.
