Very strong/sturdy – perfect for my iPad on a mic stand
I have a magnetic holder for my car dash and my phone. I liked the idea so much I wondered if there was one for my iPad (lyrics and chords for music gigs). People often bump into my gear, but this thing is very sturdy.I was a little confused about the “ball” connectors at the joints, but the plastic star knob tightens all of the joints. Pretty clever. I recommend this to anyone needing such a thing.

very secure device to attach Ipad to mic stand
I use Song Book Pro as my electronic “sheet music” for chords/lyrics on my IPad. I was searching for a way to attach the IPad to a mic stand and this device pretty perfectly fits the bill. The articulating arm can be positioned however I need it in any circumstance I’ve used it for. The adjustments are easy to manage and hold very well. The device has a strong magnet that secures to a metal disc that is stuck on the back of the IPad. The hold is quite strong, yet it is easy to take the IPad off the device when I want. I think this device is far superior and simpler to use than the expandable brackets that are so common. And, at under $20 it’s a good deal. Note: I’m an enthusiast, and have not been paid for my review.

Not MagSafe compatible.
This mount is sturdy and adjustable to multiple positions. I liked it. Just note that is not MagSafe compatible. It has a strong magnet in the mount’s disk that will keep any ferrous object safely in place. If you want to use this mount with a phone/tablet then you will have to attach one of the provided metallic self adhesive discs to your device or your device’s case so the magnet can keep your device in place.For that reason I don’t recommend it for phones with wireless charging as the metallic disc will preclude you from using a wireless charger.I use this mount with an old IPhone 6. I attached the metallic disk to the phone’s case and it stays firmly attached to the mount. Magnet is so strong that every time I remove the phone from the mount, I fear the glue on the metallic disk will not be strong enough and the metallic disk will end up peeling from the case.

Stay put holder works great
These holders work great with a simply twist of an easy to twist knob. Once tightened they lock in and stay put. And the base unit which holds onto a chair arm or something is really strong too. Perhaps they could lengthen the twist arm a bit for those less strong seniors.

Great concept…does not hold up.
Great concept but doesn’t hold up. Lasted all of three months (right outside the return window) and something internal snapped and the whole thing fell apart. I understand that it’s cheap. But it’s also a simple design which is why I liked it. Def wouldn’t recommend.
